Check it out, Dust of Warriors — we’ve got two exciting pieces of news to share with you!
DoW At SDFF
For starters, you may have heard/read about Dust of War‘s South Dakota premiere at the South Dakota Film Festival this past weekend. Rather than trying to express its success ourselves, we’ll let Dust of War‘s fearless director, Andrew Kightlinger, describe the experience:
The South Dakota Film Festival screening went beyond our wildest dreams. Over 400 people showed up to pack the house, and they really embraced the film. The reception was stratospheric!
Sounds pretty good to us. Thanks to everyone who came out to support Dust of War and everyone who came out to support good filmmaking in South Dakota overall. It was a fantastic weekend in every possible way.
Upcoming Dust of War Screenings in South Dakota
The other bit of important news is that we still have several MORE screenings of Dust of War taking place in South Dakota during the next couple of weeks. So if you live in the Dakotas and haven’t yet seen DoW, make sure you take advantage of at least one of these opportunities. Official screening times and locations are as follows:
-Pierre, SD: October 4th-10th (an entire WEEK of showings); showtimes are at 7:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at the State 123 Theater, as well as weekend matinees.
-Sioux Falls, SD: Showing as part of Cinema Falls on October 5th at 7:00 p.m. at the West Mall 7 Theater; there will also be a 1:30 p.m. matinee showing on Sunday, October 6th.
-Brookings, SD, Huron, SD, and Mitchell, SD: Starting on October 11th for a solid week at the local theaters in each town; showtimes aren’t official yet, so be on the lookout for those if you live in the area.
We can’t wait for film fans all over South Dakota to see Dust of War in all of its action-packed, full-sized movie screen glory. And don’t be afraid to invite a friend or six. The more the merrier, as far as we’re concerned.
We’ll have more news and updates soon, but feel free to spread the word about the screenings, and we’ll look forward to seeing you at one of the showings, at least. Or all of them, if you really feel like getting crazy. Because if there’s one thing we like, it’s crazy.
